Distinguished Speaker, Pamela A Lapeyrolerie on Effective Email Communications for Inside Sales Professionals Pamela returns IBM in 2015 as a Digital Marketing Practice Leader, where she brings back years of sales, sales management and marketing experience; in the field as well as inside sales. Her extensive sales, sales management and digital/social marketing experience provides the NA IBM Digital Sales sellers a consultative and holistic approach using digital and intelligent listening in their sales execution process to find new customers, penetrate installed accounts and transform sellers into highly valued business development representative. Having earned a Bachelor’s of Science degree at Texas Christian University in Fort Worth Texas, she began her career at IBM in Dallas, Texas in 1984 as an administrative assistant. In 1990, Pamela’s career took a leap forward when she was promoted to a systems representative for large accounts, and then a services representative for large systems. Her sales responsibilities throughout her IBM career emphasized helping her clients address s critical and complex business challenges. Her interpersonal and communication skills facilitated conversations with system architects and experts, business partners and IBM executives – focused on designing the right solution for her clients Pamela’s accomplishments as a sales manager emphasized coaching and mentoring sellers to be expert brand specialists. Training on the sales execution process, forecasting and effective question based selling allowed the team to achieve their business objectives, as well as, develop leaders within the company. As a Marketing Director for a small integrator business partner, Pamela embraced a true passion for rapid growth of digital and social marketing as an integral part of the selling process. Creating thought provoking content for the web site and a monthly newsletter to managing key social tools such as Hootsuite, Twitter, LinkedIn and Facebook to managing events and video production Today at IBM, Pamela faces the exciting opportunity of helping sellers embrace social and digital tools to achieve their business objectives. Social selling encompasses a new approach for sellers to find, reach, connect, share and engage with their target audience; influencing them with their knowledge, expertise and experience. Personal branding gives them the ability to articulate the perceived value they personally bring their prospects and clients. Social listening provides sellers an un-intrusive social method of listening to client conversations, giving them the ability to quickly establish credibility and have a conversation based on the clients’ interest. In Pamela’s spare time, she enjoys cooking, traveling, coaching and teaching bible study. She has two very active children, and her husband Andre is a Business Development Manager at IBM for the Bluemix Cloud team.
